As a hair weaving and hair replacement specialist, Edith Younger has studied various methods over the years all over the country. She has been trained in hair weaving and hair replacements at American Hairlines in New York City, New Concepts and On-Rite in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Great Lengths Hair Extension based in St. Louis, MO. She has been proprietor of A Cut Above for 22 years and has been a cosmetologist for over a 20 years.

Senior Stylist La Kisha Purcell, has been with the salon for ten years and specializes in excellent styling and cuts as well as braids, straw sets and natural care. Purcell always has her finger on the pulse of the hottest trends. Purcell and the four other stylists at A Cut Above are trained in varied applications and products to include Dudley Products, Affirm, Paul Mitchell and many others.
